I was honored to perform with 9 other talented musicians (8 other singers and a drummer) in an all male acappella group called Texcappella. We performed for the Military Warriors honors Banquet, honoring injured veterans who sacrificed so much for us and our country. The organization was giving new homes (mortgage free) to the honorees. Also in attendance was former president George W. Bush and his family, Kathy Ireland and Wynonna Judd.

We were the opening entertainment for the evening where we sang a mashup of "Some Nights" and "We are Young". At the conclusion of the song we recieved rousing applause and a loud 'Yes Sir' from the former president himself. We were followed by Kathy Ireland who spoke to the group about the honorees and introduced a 3 star general to hand out the homes to the honorees (this was symbolic because the group donates thousands of homes to injured veterans). After the presentation of homes, Wynonna Judd took the stage to sing a few songs.

All in all, it was an exciting and wonderful night. I am so thankful that I could perform to honor these courageous men and women and it was a thrill to perform for the former president, Kathy Ireland and for country music singing star Wynonna Judd. Thanks to Jack and all of the group for pulling this together.
